Over this passed Summer, I got a glimpse into what was to come from the new album by One Gun Shy, having reviewed one of the tracks that would be released on their new LP, After The Rain. In that review, I spoke a lot about lead singer Bobby Znak’s vocal style being a great fit to the Seattle music scene. Now, his band, One Gun Shy, have put together a body of work that my previous review cannot do justice for.
After The Rain is the band’s debut album, but don’t let the fact that the band is relatively new to the Seattle music scene fool you. These guys have a sound, reminiscent of some of Seattle’s long-time players of the scene, even though the band is only about 2 years old. Produced by Producer/Engineer Dylan Fant and One Shot Studios, as well as Producer/Engineer Nate Yaccino and Robert Lang Studios, After The Rain is anything but amateur work. With influences from some of music’s biggest names, and with the kind of drive, focus and talent that it takes to get anywhere in this industry, it’s not hard to imagine that this band has some great potential.
One Gun Shy will be performing at the following venues, in the coming months, including a recent gig that’s been added at Seattle’s Hard Rock Cafe. All shows begin at 8pm.
